Dr. Richard Vesper – Board Member
Dick is a native of Columbus Ohio and graduate of Upper Arlington High School. He attended Wittenburg University majoring in biochemistry, and attended Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, receiving his degree in 1977. Dick has had the privilege of being involved in fundraising for Upper Arlington High School, Upper Arlington Lacrosse 3132, and Camp Akita. He is also a long-time member of Upper Arlington Rotary.
The Vesper family walked a parallel path in the world of cancer with the Hosket family, as Dick’s son Kyle was diagnosed with a brain tumor in early 2018. Kyle was so very fortunate to receive the very best of medical care and support from The James, and other oncological care centers.
It has been Dick’s desire for an extended period to become involved in a meaningful mission to enable others to navigate the stressors and struggles surrounding oncological care. He considers it a privilege to bring his fundraising experience to this incredible cause.
